About Us Sue Gertzel is the principle physiotherapist at City North Physiotherapy Clinic. She has a Masters in Manipulative Therapy and a Graduate Diploma in Sports Physiotherapy.
The clinic treats all general musculoskeletal problems but has a special interest in the treatment of neck and facial pain. The range of problems dealt with includes headaches, facial pain, neck stiffness and pain, restricted mouth opening and difficulty chewing. Symptoms often result from tightness in the neck and facial muscles, poor neck posture and stiffness of the neck and jaw joints. Your problem can be assessed in conjunction with your oral medicine specialist and a treatment plan developed. Our hands-on treatment will be directed to the neck and facial joints and muscles. It may include joint mobilizing, massage, dry needling, ultrasound and specific neck and jaw exercises. A wide range of musculoskeletal conditions are also treated at the clinic. Long hours working on computers can place unusual stresses on the body creating pain in the neck, back or arms; sporting activities and hobbies can also cause injuries from over straining or overstretching. Thorough assessment and treatment allows us to help you deal with these problems. We work with you to help you maintain better flexibility and improved posture to prevent further injuries. We can also come to you to help you set up your office correctly and develop in-house exercise programs. Home programs can also be developed to allow you to work on your rehabilitation at home. City North Physiotherapy Clinic also offers pre ski fitness classes. |
